Who are we?

The Rhode Island College chapter of the American Marketing Association (RIC AMA) offers professional development and networking opportunities for all students at Rhode Island College.

 

Mission

The Rhode Island College chapter of the AMA is dedicated to leading its members (and the RIC community) towards professional growth and networking opportunities. Ultimately, it aims to help members separate themselves from the competition by forming their own "self-brand" that can be successfully marketed to potential employers.The RIC AMA also aids in creating and fostering relationships between fellow students who are equally as ambitious and motivated to succeed. Our organization consists of members from a wide range of ages, majors and backgrounds that provide many points of view.Our primary goal is that each individual member will discover, expand, refine and apply their skills in order to gain personal accolades, while also improving the RIC AMA's success as a whole.

 

Company Overview

The RIC AMA is the perfect mix of professionalism and play!
Our organization provides students with experience in event promotions, web-design, marketing competitions, and opportunities to network with fellow students and local businesses across the Rhode Island and Massachusetts area. 


The AMA meets every Wednesday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Alger 108.

Our Awards

 

American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference (New Orleans, LA) --

Chapter Class 2010-2011:
* Placed 3rd in the SABRE Competition
* Placed 3rd in website competition
* Received Outstanding Membership award

Chapter Class 2012-2013:

*3rd place in SABRE Simulation 
* Placed 2nd for best overall AMA Saves Lives video
* Received Outstanding Communications, Chapter Planning and Membership awards

 

Chapter Class 2013-2014:

*Placed 1st in SABRE Simulation

*Honorable mention from AMA 

*Best in Show in Booth Display

*Best in show for  T-shirt competitioin
